Female leaders of Australian ICT businesses are depressingly few and far between, so for one to build a market-leading company after having no experience in the tech sector is particularly impressive.

 

Maree Adshead, co-founder and chief executive of MobileIP, a Queensland-based ICT company, moved into to the tech space mid-career and endured some initial frustrations.

 

However, she overcame them to help build an award-winning wireless data system. Today, she tells us how she did it.
