There is a product on the market that aims to stop household fights over who gets the crunchy end of homemade brownies or pizza.
Inventors in the United States have come up with Bakers Edge, which is a simple redesign of a conventional baking pan that eliminates uncooked middles and burnt edges.
It also ensures everyone gets a double crunchy edge.
The clever design evenly distributes heat while cooking and, because the Baker’s Edge has more edge-baking surfaces than most pans, it gives each serving two chewy edges.
The inventors, Matthew and Emily Griffin, have proven it is never too late to take a tried and tested product and improve its design and functionality.
“Almost by accident, I think we discovered a market that nobody knew existed. Most people really are willing to embrace new ideas and solutions, if the products deliver what they promise,” Emily says.
Bakers Edge may have reinvented the baking pan, but surely there are other products that could do with some creativity. Why not get cooking on your own idea?
